Currently, we offer three rides on Saturday. Each ride begins with a basic lesson, followed by a 1 hour guided trail-ride where you will see some of the best views in Tulsa.
You must arrive 15 minutes before your lesson & ride starts, or you may be rescheduled or your ride cut short.
All riders must participate in an introductory lesson on the basics of how to get your horse to walk, stop and turn. We require even our advanced riders to participate in the lesson. All trail rides last for one hour unless inclement weather hits.
Close-toed shoes are required.
We encourage riders to wear long pants or jeans (but not required). During the spring & fall, you may want to bring a sweatshirt or jacket just in case it gets windy or cool.
Depending on the season, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray to apply before your ride. You may also want to bring a well-fitting hat or sunglasses to block the sun. Backpacks are not permitted. During the summer we provide bottled water at the end of your ride.
Trail Rides: 250 pounds
Pony Rides: 90 pounds
Weight limits will be enforced for the protection of the horse and rider.
Children must be ten years old to go on a trail ride. Kids younger than ten may go on a hand-led pony ride if circumstances allow.
An adult rider must accompany children 12 & under.
Due to our terrain, we do not allow double-riding for the safety of our guests.
Reservations are required. Please click the link on this page to book your ride.
We require at least a 48-hour notice of cancellation before your scheduled ride to receive a refund. All rides are subject to weather, trail conditions, horse health concerns, or unsafe conditions. Should Tulsa Trails West be forced to cancel your ride, you will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
