Answers to all of the most frequently asked questions.

We hold trail rides primarily on Friday and Saturday, but we offer special rides and 2-hour private rides on other days. Please contact us to schedule private rides and keep an eye on our Facebook page for special rides.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your ride starts. This gives us a chance to answer questions and get you checked in. Riders arriving after their ticket time will not be able to ride. Trail rides will be held as long as weather permits. Our property drains quickly and we can often ride after a rain event, so we will usually not cancel in advance just because the ground will be wet. However, we will cancel a ride for active rain or lightning in the area, and if we do cancel for one of these reasons or some other reason at the last minute, riders will be given the choice of getting a full refund or to reschedule.

Close-toed shoes are required.
We encourage riders to wear long pants or jeans (but not required). During the spring & fall, you may want to bring a sweatshirt or jacket just in case it gets windy or cool.

Depending on the season, you may want to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray to apply before your ride. You may also want to bring a well-fitting hat or sunglasses to block the sun. Backpacks are not permitted.

Trail Rides: 250 pounds
Pony Rides: 90 pounds
Weight limits will be enforced for the protection of the horse and rider.

Children must be ten years old to go on a trail ride. An adult rider must accompany children 12 & under on that trial ride, on a separate horse. Kids younger than ten may go on a hand-led pony ride. To ride a pony, the child must be old enough to hold themselves up in the saddle. Parents are welcome to walk with the child and pony.

Due to our terrain, we do not allow double-riding for the safety of our guests.

Reservations are required and can be made at www.tulsatrailswest.com. Click on the “Book Now” or “Book Your Ride” button. Please call 918-446-4FUN with any questions or to reserve private rides or parties.

We require at least a 48-hour notice before your scheduled ride to reschedule or receive a refund. All rides are subject to weather, trail conditions, horse health concerns, or unsafe conditions. Should Tulsa Trails West be forced to cancel your ride, you will be notified and receive an option to reschedule or receive a full refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
